G.A. Thompson is a writer, Army veteran, and retired heavy industry electrician. He is the author of more than a dozen titles published under the Brin/Raven imprint, including A Magnificent Ride to Nowhere, the Torres & Morales Investigations noir series, and Shadow Wars: The Forging of American Intelligence.
He writes across genres — memoir, noir detective fiction, folk horror, military comedy, historical espionage, and intelligence history. His work draws on decades of experience in mining and industrial sites across the American West, extended motorcycle trips through the continent, and a long relationship with the desert landscapes of New Mexico and the American Southwest.
